A random Levee walk in Grant Parish Louisisna, can I say...Colfax Louisiana was a pleasant surprise, beautiful and rich with history. Look up the Colfax Massacre (and referred to as a riot in local lore, but the shear numbers of dead definitely classify it as a riot). Colfax is also home to Pecanfest in the fall, definitely calling for me to revisit.
